Mysticism and Existence

Colin Wilson ( in ‘Poetry and Mysticism’) observes, to the embarrassment of many, that

“mystical experience is a normal potentiality of everyday consciousness and not something that has to be snatched by inducing states over which we have no control”

It indeed is a call to the sacredness of day to day existence. We should never seek any support system outside ourselves, to believe that our very existence is sacred, a gift from Divine.

where the mechanisms end, the mystery unfolds….
